Feature & Follow Blog Hop (26)

This is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read to help us bloggers venture out & find other blogs that we might not have come across. Each week there are 2 feature bloggers, you can find their information on either of the sites listed above. There is a new question up each week and this weeks question is -

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

Oh, wow. Um...this is a hard one for me. I'm always nervous when they turn a book into a movie because there is always so much more emotion and compassion that goes into the writing, we feel what the characters are going through instead of seeing it on the actor/actresses faces and actions. That is what is one of the things that differs for me from book to film, also the changes in things, and, I know things can't be perfect from book to movie but...lol.

What about you guys? Leave me a link & I'll get back to you =)

  1. I totally agree- books should be left as books and should stay in the imagination where they belong! The only books I condone becoming movies are comics...just cause I love Sin City and Kick Ass so very much!

  2. I get nervous about books turning into movies, but I try to just completely separate them. I will use twilight as an example. I think the movies are nothing like the books, but I like them both for different reasons. I try to just think of the movie as a movie and not compare it to the book. It's hard, but I think it helps me to be able to enjoy movies that were made from books.

  3. Agree! I always get nervous about movies unless I really hated the book and figure that it can only get more entertaining, even if in a twisted way. *g*

  4. I definitely agree with you, this is one of the best answers that I've seen so far and I really enjoyed it. I always get nervous about book to movie adaptations, because sometimes I feel like Hollywood big-wigs just don't get it. They're casting all wrong to please the the hottest new celebrity and I think they're just not reading the books or understanding the characters that well, either.
