Haven't heard of this book? Well, I'll have to change that real quick. Here is the beautimous cover and the synopsis.
Dying sucks-- and high school senior Ember McWilliams knows firsthand. After a fatal car accident, her gifted little sister brought her back. Now anything Ember touches dies. And that, well, really blows.Catching isn't it?!? Yeah, I thought so. Since Jennifer is one of my favorite authors I thought that today would be a good day to write her a little somethin'-somethin'.
Ember operates on a no-touch policy with all living things--including boys. When Hayden Cromwell shows up, quoting Oscar Wilde and claiming her curse is a gift, she thinks he's a crazed cutie. But when he tells her he can help control it, she's more than interested. There's just one catch: Ember has to trust Hayden's adopted father, a man she's sure has sinister reasons for collecting children whose abilities even weird her out.
However, she's willing to do anything to hold her sister's hand again. And hell, she'd also like to be able to kiss Hayden. Who wouldn't? But when Ember learns the accident that turned her into a freak may not have been an accident at all, she's not sure who to trust. Someone wanted her dead, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to losing not only her heart, but her life. For real this time.
As you know, I absolutely love all your work. In fact, I've lost who knows how many hours of sleep getting caught up in the worlds that you create and have spent God knows how much making sure I own every book that you come out with - in paper back and on my nook, seriously I always have your books with me! I love that you put so much into everything that you write. You talk to us readers and get to know us, even with your crazy hectic life. You have spawned a whole world of Daemon lovers and I'm sure that Pepe will forever be haunted by us...in a good way. I often wonder if you ever get any sleep due to all the writing that you manage to get done, however I am very thankful for everything that you've written. I don't think I could handle too long of a period without my favorite characters coming back out. I don't think I've wanted to slap a character so much as I have some of the ones that you've written (cough...Seth & Daemon) but that's all out of love and if they were real, well, I'd have to hunt them down...kidnap them and keep them in my closet. (Note...I'm not going to come kidnap you Pepe...I need a passport for that and at this time I don't have one. hehe.) I want to thank you for all the hard work that you've done, all the hours that you've invested in all the books that you've written, and just for being the awesome person that you are. Keep up the good work and know that your fan base is growing every day. I can't wait for the books that are coming out in the future and wish nothing but the best for you! =)
Yep, I had to put Love because nothing else seemed more appropriate than that. I want to thank everyone for stopping by today and if you haven't checked out any of Jennifer's work, you're missing out. I promise you won't regret it. I'll have my review of Cursed up on Thursday so make sure you check back then to see what my thoughts are. In the meantime you can check out the trailer here - http://youtu.be/JlU4U1msXjk - and make sure to enter the giveaway that Spencer Hill Press has so graciously put together.
